The site was down all day Sunday and into Monday - it looked like the site (or the server) got hacked, just shortly after Google got the latest page snapshot (bad luck, or good timing? Hmmm...) - that should get cleared out when Google refreshes their snapshot.
I didn't see anything on the home page about it after the site came back up - I was kinda curious about the details of the situation...?
Blue - you're correct, there was a hack of some kind. From looking at it it seems to be mostly centered around Wordpress and getting those links onto the front page.
I'm going to do some maintenance very soon - probably within the next week or two - to move the ZP site to a fresh server, re-install wordpress and all software from scratch with latest versions, switch from Apache to nginx+PHP-fastcgi (if you want to get technical...), and relaunch it. Hopefully this will both clear out any effects and also harden the installs and prevent future problems, as well as speeding up the site significantly.
I'll post warnings and news before that happens in case there is any downtime, but in all likelihood it will be minimal as I'll just run the two servers simultaneously.
It seems the issue tracker got spammed pretty good last night also. Perhaps zenphoto and the tracker should be upgraded to a more sophisticated CAPTCHA that shows a large image at a topless beach and requires the user to correctly enter how many boobies there are, including those not in view because people's backs are turned :-)
Or, we could modify Obama's nuclear reduction plan to nuke spammers instead of simply dismantling perfectly good bombs!
