Photos not uploading?

Hi all,

I have had no problems in uploading photos to my zenphoto gallery in the past (using the most recent version), however I recently implemented a htaccess file to password protect my entire website.

However although I can access the gallery, view images and use the zenphoto admin control panel, when it comes to actually uploading photos, the process doesn't work. Instead a pop-up box appears asking for a username/password (the same box which appears when requiring access to the site due to the htaccess file). However even when you type in the correct details it is not accepted and so no photos can be uploaded. If you press cancel it crashes the entire browser. When you remove the htaccess file, everything then works properly again.

Any ideas on how this could be resolved?

    I have no idea, but where is that htaccess actually located?

    From your description you have setup security through your .htaccess which does not allow Zenphoto to write to the albums folders without a user code/password. Since Zenphoto does not provide this, the user is asked for it.

    If you do not want such tight security you will have to relax it to allow Zenphoto full access. Otherwise you will have to provide that user code/password as requested.
