Albums on different pages?

Is it possible to put albums on different pages or do I need two separate installs or something? I'm wanting to separate this site into having two separate photo sections - one family photos and one general photos.

I'm working on getting the photo gallery up at http://www.maywaldfamily.bigteo.net/gallery but I want to separate the family photos onto a separate page, e.g. ...net/family - what's the best way to do this?

That depends how separate you want them. Zenphoto uses always the same theme pages but it is possible to assign themes to specific toplevel albums so they can look different.

I want them to look the same, I'm integrating into an existing site, but I want most albums on one page and one specific album on a different page of the site.

If you wish to do something that does not mimic the folder structure of your albums folder you will have to get into the details of theme implementation with Zenphoto. For that start with the themeing guide. You will probably also have to review the functions guide and particularly become familiar with the Zenphoto object model.

If all you want is one album to conatin a bunch of subalbums excluding the unique one then just set up your folder structure to reflect that. Given your example, two gallery level albums--one for "family" an one for "general" (choose whatever folder names are meaningful for you.) Place the folders with your images into the appropriate gallery level album folder.

Thanks for the reply, I had a feeling it was going to be fairly involved. I don't have time to learn it all right now, this site is a client site, so I've done a second install and copy/paste of my necessary theme files (index, image, album) so that I can get it happening for now. The main gallery is installed at http://www.maywaldfamily.bigteo.net/gallery and the family photo gallery is installed at http://www.maywaldfamily.bigteo.net/family so he will just have two separate admins for each gallery page for now - at least he can't get the albums mixed up this way either.

I will look into learning more ZP coding when I have the time as I'm really liking it. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction guys!
