Custom menu: album location not found

I'm creating two custom album menu's for each of two main albums.
When I add an album > 'nature closeup' ZP tells me that this location no longer exists. But it does. The directory on the server is also called 'nature closeup' and uploaded this way. Has the space between te words something to do with it?

Yes, I can reproduce it, it is the space. Probably we have an oversite regarding urlencoding here. But genereally I think using a - makes it also look better in the url than "nature%20closeup" anyway.
  • I agree about the 'looks', but then there should be an option to change the title-link, just as with the pages. The person I'm making this site for has just uploades a lot of albums, inluding spaces in names and thus also in the names and the directories and has also already added a lot of descriptions. So manually changing the name of the directory is an option, but extra work.

The directory is the "titlelink" for albums and was always. You can always change that on the album's edit page ("rename" in the utilities box on the right). (However I agree that we maybe should change the layout for this similar to the pages or news-we will discuss that). As you as a long time user should know the title on the theme and the actual name are independent anyway for all Zenphoto items.

Additionally if you upload via the backend and the seo plugin is active it would turn the space into a - automatically.
  • As a 'long time user' I don't know everything :). Never knew about that renaming, but it works very well and solved my 'problem'. Now I can add that album to the menu. Thanks!
