I've a big trouble with Zenphoto 1.3, I can't install it.
My hoster (Aruba, Italy) doesn't allow permissions to be changed (default chmod for directories is 755). Suexec is installed, and as Zenphoto tries to change folder permissions during install, I always get a 500 internal server error. The same error shows up even if I try to create the .htaccess file during the installation process.
Fixing all permissions in my webhosting panel solves the problem, but if I try to install Zenphoto again, it shows up again. I'm stuck and I can't go any further.
I'm not sure if it's a permission related issue, or if it's just the .htaccess file.

Hopefully it will work for you as well. If not, then you will have to take this up with your host.
