Zenphoto mysql problem

Hi there,

I'm trying to setup zenphoto gallery on a site, but during the setup window, I can't get past the MySQL setup check. I entered in my details- mysql user, pasword, host (localhost), and database name and continue to get this error message:

Error!

Could not connect to the MySQL server. Check the user, password, and database host and try again.

Anyone got idea as to why this is happening?

    Only your host would really know the answer to that problem. You should ask them instead.

    make sure you have the correct IP address of the mysql server configured, the full mysql username (sometimes you host adds your cpanel username to the one you create making it longer than you think), and obviously the correct mysql password. Your hosting provider should have some kind of utility or script to test your mysql server to see if its setup correctly so ask for one, or use the one in CPANEL if you use that......
