zenpage page/news edit update fails

zenpage page/news edit update fails when editing an existing page. blank page returns in editor. previous version page/news shows when viewed.

with or without tiny MCE enabled/toggled.

Zenphoto version 1.2.9 [5088] (Official Build)
PHP version: 5.1.6
MySQL version: 5.0.77
Current gallery theme: zpgalleriffic

also behaves same with default zenpage theme.
