Make any sound on your website an option for the user for the user to decide whether he wants to turn it on. A website forcing me to endure whatever the maker thinks assumes as pleasant while I might a completely different taste makes me leave the site and never come back. The music in the MP3 is made entirely by you? Otherwise there might be the question of copyright blablabla...
And I don't have a clue how to stream sound. I'm just nagging.
The flowplayer3 plugin is not meant for background music obviously (not sure why you did expect that actually). So you would have to code that yourself.
I agree with hhm. I really dislike websites with music playing in the background. It is irritating and distracting. Personally I like to either work in silence without distraction or have my choice of music playing. I don't want the website developers taste imposed on me. So please don't have background music
I realize this thread is taking a little bit of a turn here ... away from your original question so let me say first of all that yes, you will have to hard code that yourself.
However, I must concur with the rest of the comments about not imposing your musical preference on other people. If you are going to be writing the coe yourself, why not give the option of an on/off button? Just a thought.
You're doing a great job by even trying to put something out there. Cool!
