Linking to first image in album

I'm a new Zenphoto user, and I've searched the forums here... I'm working on a fairly specific theme for my online portfolio, the problem is that I want to link to directly to the first image of each album with a menu/text link (bypassing the index and album pages). Is there a way to accomplish this? I'd rather not static link if I don't have to, so any ideas are much appreciated!
