hi,
i have recently added a few more videos to my zenphoto cms through the ftp but none of the videos i have uploaded are showing,
also ive tried reuploading a video and replaced an old version but the old version of the video is still displaying rather than the new version.
i am using
zenphoto 1.29
PHP version: 4.4.0
MySQL version: 4.1.22
and im on a windows machine.
is anyone could give me an insight as to what is the problem i will be very gratefull.

Second, we don't support Windows servers (IIS) as we can't test them
Third, make sure you have the video class plugin and a video player plugin activated and that the videos use the right codec and setting. Refer to the player's own website what that is.
i understand you dont have the meaning to test on a windows server so fair do's
i have both plugins working fine. i have 90+ videos working fine, its just now im trying to add more it wont display them or replace old files.
so you have not had this trouble before on any server or version? if you have how did you sort it and it might be the same on a windows server.
We simply don't have the resources to do so as we are a small (voluntary) team. If there were bugs in 1.2.9 they are most likely not anymore in the current. This is why we release new version.

It's more a resourcees thing again. I am on Mac so I could not even if I wanted. No hoster (over here) I know has IIS servers at all. All standard Apache. But we know there are some users who use it successfully on IIS and even lighttpd servers.
You did not tell what videos you uploaded. If others worked you need to find what is different. Videos can be made with variouse Codec settings and especially .flv is a container format that can contain various codecs.
Please visit the forums of the player you use (you did not tell) to see if that is known and what settings you need.
Perhpaps saying we do not support but the current release is a bit incorrect. You will find we do all sorts of help for people running older versions. However we will not make corrections to any but the current release. So if you have a problem that requires a change to Zenphoto you will have to either live with it or upgrade. That is, of course, your choice.
Now then, there have been some fixes to problems with video since the 1.2.9 release. If your problem is caused by one of the bugs that has been fixed, well, see above.
If it is someting else, for instance Acrylian's suggestion that you check to be sure that A/ you have the class-video plugin enabled and B/that the video format you uploaded (and neglected to mention) is supported by either the class-video plugin or by your browser [it depends on the format which is required.]
the video files are .flv's they are compressed the same as the other 90 videos i have on the server and they all work fine with the script,
the problem is i am trying to add new videos which are compressed the same there the same codec and everything, the problem is that im uploading the video and thumbnail through ftp but they are not showing up on the cms,
ive tried uploading the thumb through the admin panel, but that says its uploaded but doesnt actually do anything.
im doing it the same way i did for the other 90 videos ive added.
