MySQL/install newb; Can't connect to local MySQL server

Hello everyone! Forgive me - I'm a ZP & MySQL newb and I don't know php very much at all.

Yesterday I set up my database (on godaddy), uploaded zp, ran the `setup.php` page and got this far:

"Error!

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '`/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock`' (2)"

I have looked at my `zp-config.php` file (and config.source file), and I've looked at my database. I can't figure out where to fix the problem I am having - and to be honest, I don't really understand what the problem is.

I am hosting multiple domains through godaddy, and have Wordpress installed under a different domain to what I'm installing ZP on - which of course it has its own database but I've noticed there are no tables, whatever they are, in my ZP database.

I realise this is probably a very simple and common problem, but for all the searching I've done, I can't find anyone else with the same problem or a solution. I'm obviously a total newb and this is like trying to understand instructions in ancient Chinese to me.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!

No, you are a new user and as clearly said below the form and on the forum rules new user's posts are moderated.

Sorry I don't know this host. But probably some part of your mysql credentials is not correct. Installing Zenphoto is not more complicated than installing Wordpress.
