General Explainations - Refresh Metadata, Database

Hi, this I am sure, is a rather inane question, so my appologies! But I have been trying to find basic explainations as to what some of these buttons/functions in the admin area actually do! For eg. what does 'refresh metadata' do? Where does it refresh from? Does it go back to the upload link and look on the computer??!! I have similar basic questions about many of the functions! Can someone tell me where all this info might be please (see! can't get more basic than that!!)

    The buttons actually have a explaination on hover. The metadata refresh mean the metadata stored in the images is read again as it normally is only once on importing.

    Please read also on our troubleshooting how and from where Zenphoto uses images/items uploaded (cache/image processing etc).
