Bread crumb trail / navigation

Hello!!!!!

At the top of my zen page I have a bread crumb trail.

It goes mywebsitename / photography / album.

When I click on photography, instead of taking me back to the index.php, it takes me back to mywebsitename.com.

I would like to have it so photography or whatever can be my index.php / first zen photo page.

Please advise.
Thanks!!!

If photography is actually an toplevel album you will have to modify your theme files to include it manually as the home link.
  • Hi and thanks for the reply.

Could you be a bit more specific please, which theme files are you referring to? I use the default theme. When I land on my index.php bottom gallery page, I can navigate to one of the galleries but the problem is, is that there is no link back to the first bottom gallery page.

Clicking 'photography' in the breadcrumb trail takes you back to mypage.com, when I want it to link to the bottom gallery page, not my home page?
  • Perhaps some more detail would be useful:

Is Zenphoto installed in the root folder? If so then `mywebsite.com` is equivalent to `mywebsite.com/index.php` If it is not, then the normal zenphoto links would not generate that url, so we need to know what your theme is and what it is doing.
  • Hi yes, I have installed the gallery in the FTP root folder along with my index.html, css, regular html non gallery pages.

Should I put my installation in a seperate folder, if so, is it a case of moving zen into say root/galleryfolder/(files) or do I have to reinstall zen in that folder then move my customized theme in there?

    THanks again!
  • Yes, if you want a root index.html page as well as your gallery, install Zenphoto in a subfolder. Then set the options for Website Title an Website URL to point to your root index.html file (or just to the root.)

You will need to move all the files to the subfolder, put the setup files back if you deleted them (you should have!) then re-run setup. No other changes needed.

Basically, you get only one "default" page per folder. Generally if you have both index.php and index.html, the index.php file will be used.
