Zenpage news rename news option gone?

In the non nightly builds of the latest version I recall there was a feature in the options of Zenpage where you could set the 'news' name to something else like 'blog', however in the latest nightly build (could have been earlier) that feature or option is no longer there, or at least I have not yet found it.

Anyone know if this still exists and if so where or if not is there a way to change it from news to something else?

Version: 1.3.1.2 nightly build 12/9

Thanks

GW

  • It is gone.It really did not work most of the time and caused too many other issues. This impacts only the URL anyway, you can change the link text to whatever you wish. You can also use .htaccess to redirect "blog" to "news".
  • Thanks for the reply, where you say

['you can change the link text to whatever you wish']

Do you mean each time we make a link or is there a way to have it to always use the correct link, in our case from news to blog.

Re the htaccess, that is done, but when using the ZP link icon function in tinymce it adds the link containing the original 'news' and not as 'blog' so I would need to create the link and then edit the link every time, not a big issue, more a case of remembering to do it all the time.

    Cheers

You should be able to use htaccess to rewrite the rewritten url with "news" as well. So everytime some one accesses a link using "news" it gets rewritten to "blog".
