site is totally screwed after importing wordpress blog

I've always been so careful to back up everything. I spend hours backing up but what good does it do?

I read something about being able to import worpress blog. I thought it would be a good idea but then all kinds of warnings showed up on the zenphoto site so I decided to import the previous database which was successful.

That's when the "setup files missing" showed up. Understand it's a complete blank with only the setup files missing on this blank window.

Any suggestions?

Normally you would remove the setup files after completing an upgrade. That is a good thing. But if you revert a database to a revision of zenphoto prior to the one you are running setup must be run to move the database forward. Since the setup files were removed, you will have to put them back to accomplish this.

How would I know? The were in the distribution package, but I certainly do not know what you have done since downloading it.

I would like to hear more details about the Wordpress import. What errors exactly showed up after importing?

The current snv (or tonight's nightly) will contain some (hopefully) improvments of hte WP importer. In my just performed tests it did not screw anything but content was important truncated if some chars where not valid UTF-8. At least for me this does work now. It would be great to get some testing on this.

Could you please post the full error? The "etc" part actually would be of interesst to see what file is missing there actually. (That is just the path to the webspace folder on your server).

Oh and I did run setup after upgrade and it seemed to be good. I did delete it afterwards.

I just thought of something. I don't have any theme in place. I used to have galleriffic but I upgraded it and now it doesn't show up.

I've checked the cpanel's error log and, believe it or not, I don't have any errors.

Without any error we will not be able to help. Check your htaccess file this might cause this as well if not setup correctly.

Well, the application will be Zenphoto. As said check the htaccess file and review the error log, otherwise we are guessing and that will surely lead to nowhere.

The error message indicates a file (`zp-core/folder-definitions.php`)missing. Can you check with FTP and confirm that it does/does not exist?

If it does not exist, setup should have noted that fact.

If it does exist, then PHP is failing to locate it in the `require_once` function. That would be a PHP failure of some sort that only your ISP can sort out.

These 13 December errors indicate a theme problem. Are you running the nightly build? if so, then the 14 December errors are probably also theme incompatibilities.

Have you tried running a standard theme?

I did visit your site and what you have is a modrewrite/htaccess issue. Either your htaccess file is screwed up, your server misconfigured for this or you did not set the backend option for modrewrite.

Try yourself. This none modrewrite link works:

while the modrewrite one does come up with the blank page:

For sure this has nothing to do with the Wordpress import as you initially suspected.

I can access even modrewrite image page links if I call them directly but not with next/prev.

Please disable the static_html_cache plugin, might be that you see the issue of a bug recently reported and already corrected in the nightly, that only did affect a few servers.
