Class-video 1.3.1

# Zenphoto version 1.3.1.2 [5831] (Official Build)
# Current gallery theme: zpGalleriffic
# PHP version: 5.2.15
# Graphics support: PHP Imagick library 3.0.1RC2
ImageMagick 6.6.0-2 2010-07-13 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org

Hello, It's kind of a candid question but I checked the forum and didn't find the answer: I have activated the Class-video plugin and I don't know how to use it. It doesn't show anywhere, doesn't say anything about how to upload a video, and the way to choose the place we want it.
I don't use ZenPage. Is that the reason why Class-video seems to be desactivated?

Thank you!

The video class just is a base class. It only supports quicktime and 3gp videos directly which require that Quicktime is installed on the vistor's computer/browser.

Additionally you need to enable the Flowplayer3 plugin to be able to play mp4 and flv videos as well as mp3 audio files.

You can upload them just like normal images.
  • Thanks! I enabled Flowplayer3 and tried an upload of an .avi video about 85MB but it's too heavy for the upload tool. I can use FTP but in which folder should I store the video? And after that, what do I have to do?
Instead, I could also use embedded code to create a link to Vimeo or Youtube but I see no place inside an album to copy such code (although tiny mce enabled).

    System: Mac OSX 10.5.8 Panther

The upload limit is set by your server, not by Zenphoto. Flowplayer does only support .mp4 and .flv. See the Flowplayer site for more info.

Zenphoto is filesystem based. Images and albums are stored in the root `albums` folder. All folders inside that are recognized as albums and their subfolders as subalbums and so on. That `albums` folder may not contain images itself. I guess we really need a FAQ/Troubleshooting entry about this...

Regarding youtube etc, vides please see: http://www.zenphoto.org/2009/03/troubleshooting-zenphoto/#38
