missing footer and more in page directory

having a problem, have themed the whole gallery to suit my site, using header includes, footer includes and basic html where these other methods didn't suit, works a treat.....until I upload enough galleries to create a second page of gallerys (ie. the navigation appears at the bottom) when i navigate to the 2nd page and from there back to page 1 the footer is missing, but the header is there. I can't figure what page is been used as the base for these pages (as index.php=gallery top page / image.php=gallery picture preview etc..)as changing the pages I have does nothing to the pages which are appearing in /page/ directory, am using the default theme and am fairly new to coding. guessing that its because the page is appearing from the /page/ directory, not the original which is ..themes/default/ might be the reason, but how can I change this??

Some paragraphs would have made it a little more readable, you know.... I suggest to read the theming tutorial to learn how Zenphoto themes generally work.
  • but I've descovered that if I navigate to index.php?page=2 then it all works fine, but no way to change the navigation to go there? very odd, only found that page by logging out of admin while on ..page/2/
  • not having trouble with the themes, they're working fine, just when I navigate too ../page/2/ or ../page/1/ the footer disappears but as just stated if I go to ../index.php?page=2 it works fine, sorry also grammar was never a strong point

Try to disable the backend option for mod_rewrite.`index.php?page=2` is the none modrewrite link. Setup actually should have told you something about that since it is probably not working correctly on your server.

PS: Parapgraphs are more a structural thing than actuallly grammar...;-)

As you might guess the disabling mod_rewrite worked a treat, thanks, will brush up on my english (my native language lol....been english and all) and will post again when I hit the next hurdle ;)
