RSS - object requested cannot be found

What could be causing the above error message? The ablum seems to be running fine. Clicking on the RSS album feed brings up a nice page with image and link. Clicking on the link gives me the error.

This is true with the Gallery RSS and I have tried several themes. All RSS plugins are activated.

Thank you.

  • Probably not enough information to answer your question.

Maybe best to supply a link to you site would help. At least the full text of the message and the details about the picture you clicked on.

And of course, the ever missing stuff like what version of our software you are using.
  • Here is a link to the album:

    http://www.lookbackatme.com/gallery/

Enter into any album in the gallery (or it's sub album) and then click on the RSS icon at the bottom of the page. YOu will see a nice RSS page come up. Then, looking at the RSS feed, if you click on the link in the RSS feed, you get that error.

    I am using 1.4.5.7
All images are normal jpg images.

    Here is the error message:

'The Zenphoto object you are requesting cannot be found.
    Album: Sightings/2012-12-05%20-%20Leaving%20the%20TODAY%20Show '
  • Your site RSS works perfectly for me when I visit it with Internet Explorer and Firefox.

What RSS client are you using? Perhaps it does not properly handle URL encoded links.

    I can reproduce this.
Happens when there's a space in the albumname.
    (Firefox and Safari Mac)

Just tested on Mac (10.8.5) as well. Works for me in current Firefox and in my RSS reader Vienna RSS. (Safari 6/7 has no RSS support anymore).
  • Thanks for the help. I've tried it in FF, Opera, Chrome and IE. The same result. I am using the browser's RSS client.

Again, just to be clear, I see the feed perfectly, but when I click on the feed link to take me to the actual album, is when I get that error.

Yes, all the album names have spaces but another thing is that they all start with dates, which may mean nothing.

Sorry, my bad. The link itself does indeed not work for me. I should not answer things inbetween other things…). I think the space will be the issue. Probably some encoding issue somwhere. Best you open a ticket.

(It looks generally nicer to not have space in file/folder names so you could try the seo cleaner plugin to change that (DB and albums folder back first of course!))

    There is a fix.
Please try the 1.4.5.8 Support build
  • Had relatives come to visit, here in Florida.

I just got back and read your fix. Have upgraded to 5.9

Problem is resolved. Works like a champ.

    Thank you.

    Resolved.
