I made a post a week or so ago wondering why ZenPhoto went so slow for me (specifically on the admin-upload.php page when creating a new album). I called up my host, who told me the script is eating up a massive amount of CPU.
Is there anyway to decrease its CPU usage?

Please tell us a little more about your installation. How many albums, images, what Zenphoto version etc.
A common issue is to use to big images for your server to process (Please see the troubleshooting).
27565 images
2909 albums
And a correction to my first post, where I said "specifically on the admin-upload.php page when creating a new album," I meant to say "specifically on the admin-upload.php page AND when creating a new album". Meaning, the page takes very long to load when I hit the 'Upload' tab -- then it takes very long to load after I've created a new album (the transition from the 'admin-upload.php' page to the inside of the album).
We had an CPU issue as well and found it was related to our sitemap trying to be read by Google, which always timed out, so we had to turn it off until I made a few adjustments to it and broke it down to pages, news, albums and images. The images still does not work as it times out but I have a ticket on bugtracker that the devs are looking into to have the sitemap split into smaller chuncks.
Try removing the sitemap feature and see if that helps the load issue.

I'm running on an older version of ZP (1.2.1).
