resizing images in albums

Hi. I have several albums (portfolios) set up on my site and was just told by an ipad user that my images were showing up all different sizes and most of them, only part of the images showed. One my laptop, the images appear fine. Obviously I need to resize all the images. Is there anyway to automate the image size or do I need to delete each image and upload a new one? I have hundreds so I'm hoping there's an easier way. I also don't know what dimensions will look correct to most viewers.

Many thanks in advance for any advice!

Zenphoto resizes the images as set on either the image options or as programmed in the theme used. If your uploaded images are smaller than requested from the theme they are used in the original size (unless you tell ZP to upscale).

Since you didn't provide any details you have to figure out yourself what applies to your site.
  • Thank you so much for the speedy response! The images are currently too big for the page. If I change the theme to a smaller size will all my images curently in my albums be downscaled. Is there any downside to doing it this way. IE: performance, image quality?

What details can I provide to help apply to my site?

    I really appreciate your help!

If you are referring to your stocktonphoto site I would first suggest to upgrade your Zenphoto installation.
It uses version 1.2.5 and that is really old.

Anyway, you should be able to set the size of your images in the theme's options.
The images will then be downscaled which might affect quality.
    (hardly visible probably)
For performance it's always best to upload images with the correct size so the server does not have scale them.

Your images are not too big but your server seems a bit slow.
Everything shows up fine on an iPad I tried.
