Automatic admin notice when uploading

Would it be possible to include in a future version a feature by which the Zen Photo admin would receive a mail whenever a photo is uploaded by a given user ?

I understand that there is a filter invoked when files are uploaded--check_upload_quota so it would be straight forward to create a plugin that did so (not by a newbie though...)
