Change Admin Name, Admin Folder Name

Hello, if I've missed finding these answers, I apologize, but have searched and have also been looking under all the options in the admin area, but I cannot find how to change the admin username. Will I need to create a new admin and delete the original one? I can change the password ok, but it won't let me get to the name. I'm able to get to the SQL database in phpMyAdmin, is it ok to change the name there?

Also, do I need to change the admin folder name in my installation to secure it? The installation was done by website host, and I'm not sure if there's anything else I need to do to ensure it's secure. Thank you.

    No, you can't change a user's name after creation. If you need to use a new name, you need to create a new one.

    You should NEVER change the name of any directories that are Zenphoto standard ones. To secure it set the right permissions. Info on our user guide's troubleshooting and of course setup provides info about that as well (which your host installer probably bypassed). Aks your host if unsure.

    Thank you, I will ask the host to be sure, and you've given me what to look for about permissions in the the user guide, that is helpful. My concern about the admin name was in other things installed on the website, such as the shopping cart, they recommend to change the admin user and folder name to secure it, so I was applying the same logic . . . thank you for the info.
