Success with litespeed and cloudflare

Finally after primary level of knowledge and some surfing here I have launched soft version of my site with litespeed web server and cloud flare ...

This is I am writing just for other people like me who are checking up with same setup possibilities.

Seems like pretty fast than apache.

Thanks billiard and acrylian for your prompt responses to my queries.

Interessting for most would probably be what you did about the htaccess/rewrite issues you had.
  • dear acrylian i had done nothing as i found it hard after spending few hours and turned up to admin and changed 250 entries manually for album folder :)

Sorry, right, you posted that on the other topic I remember now. But really no need to open new topics everytime..;-)
  • yes i got that point but this one is made with title specific and i find it may helpful as four of my friends going to buy litespeed hosting for their zenphoto now as they also were unfsure of how zenphoto works and on forum there was only one or two post about litespeed so thought of posting as this one is running quite fine as of now under testing.
  • Just a small note. .htaccess rules are indeed complicated. But using litespeed compounds the problem as the rules for it differ from Apache. The .htaccess file provided by Zenphoto is for Apache.

There was once a set of rewrite rules for litespeed. But I do not know where to find them now and most likely they are out of date with the current Zenphoto.
  • OH.. i thought as it converted rules on my current live it was fine .. if that so then i am again in to loop of finding resource for making .htaccess for litespeed :(

    can anybody help plz ?

We never had rules for litespeed but user contributed ones for lighttpd which I suppose is not the same server.

They are still listed on the extensions section respectively on a ticket:
    http://www.zenphoto.org/news/lighttpd-rewrite-rules
    http://www.zenphoto.org/trac/ticket/1308

But those are 17 months old and of course not updated to the current Zenphoto.
  • acrylian seems like you missed my title its litespeed not lighttpd

No, you missread my post which was a comment to sbilliard's previous post (emphasis by me)
There was once a set of rewrite rules for litespeed.

    To that I replied

Just added the links in case someone else searches.
