General Question about Features

I am looking for the ability to reference an album in several galleries (or sub gallery if possible) WITHOUT duplicating the directory.

Ex:
Gallery - Period Drama Films
Album - Pride and Prejudice
Album - Gone with the Wind
Album - Snow White

= this I can do but want to carry it further without duplicating the album

Ex:
Gallery - Era
Album - Medieval
Album - Victorian
- (sub album) Pride and Prejudice (used in another gallery)

Ex:
Gallery - Genre
Album - Wars
- (sub album) - Gone with the Wind

There are many other Galleries, Authors, Fantasy, American, etc

I am asking if I can do this with Zen photo WITHOUT duplicating the directory. Can it be referenced under another gallery, album or sub, several times with using only the one directory of images.

First to avoid confusion please use the right terms (see the glossary on our user guide). "Gallery" in Zenphoto terms refers to all albums and generally means even the Zenphoto site itself.

Generally Zenphoto is file system based so that is not directly possible. The tool your are looking for are dynamic albums which have some differences to "real" albums.

Yes, I was mistaken using the word gallery. What I meant was Category.

I will look at the documentation and see if I can understand it.
