no longer able to make individual images of an album invisible

Hello all,

I'm running zenphoto version 1.2.5 with php 5.2.14 and mysql 4.1.22. We've been running this setup for many many months.

I have an album that I continually add to. Its presently got 222 in total. It's a regular album - it has no sub-albums. The average file-size of the images in this album is about 80kb and the permissions of those files is the same as other albums (644)

However, since adding a few new images last week, it seems that the 'visible' option on each image no longer takes effect for this album - whereas it used to work on this album, and on other albums that feature is still working.

It doesn't seem to be a database issue, as the setting is being saved correctly (e.g the checkbox shows as being ticked/unticked as expected) it just seems the option is having no effect.

When I check this on the front-end I'm doing this in another browser, in which I am *not* logged into zenphoto.

I've tried resetting the metadata, rebuilding the cache, resetting the album's hit count (it was at 9423). I'm running out of ideas.

This is causing a significant issue for us and we've had to hide the entire album, which isn't ideal.

Short of deleting the album and creating a new, duplicate album, I'm not sure what else I can do.

I'd be most grateful for any guidance.
Cheers
cw

  • Do I understand correctly that when you look at the image on the admin pages the "published" box is checked? But you do not see the image when viewing the album itself? Do the older images of the album still show up?

Probably you should check your server CGI logs and see if there are any reported errors. Beyond that, there is nothing I can think of.

BTW, both your Zenphoto release and your MySQL are quite old. We will not be able to help you with specific issues on such an old release.
