Footer - Designed By...

I want to do the right thing on my photo page so I thought I would pass this by ZenPhoto before I make a change.

On the Footer there is the "Designed By" text. Can I place my name there or do you prefer I leave the current Footer text alone. Obviously the ZenPhoto portion will remain.

Lots of hard work went into the theme that I modified, so I want to give proper credit.

    If it is still noticable which theme your design is based of I would recommend a credit line like "Theme designed by X based on the theme Y by Z".

    I will add a line to our general contributor guidelines about this.

    Generally the code is GPL (derivative work) but the design itself may be under a different licence. For example the Stopdesign theme whose design is under a CC-BY-NC licence.
