Hey all,
Been using Zen for a long time on my Dad's site and it's worked so well, it's pretty much been ignored since it was setup.
The site is getting an overhaul, and I'd like to update to the new 1.4.1.1 - but of course the upgrade instructions start out with "If you have 1.1.3., it's easy". Murphy's Law dictates that I have 1.1.2.
Is it possible for me to upgrade, or am I out of luck?
Thanks for any help,
Matt

We know that upgrading from 1.1.5 onwards works as it has been tested. Unfortunately we no longer have an environment where we can install versions earlier than that, so we just do not know.
Most likely it will work. Of course you can always make the step upgrades to 1.1.3, 1.1.4, and 1.1.5 and then for sure you will be ok. You can find those versions here: http://www.zenphoto.org/pages/older-versions-archive
[edit] Note that if you are using a custom theme it most likely will not be compatible with the current release. Also there were some themes that we did distributed but have discontinued. Most likely those will not work either. There may be updates by the authors of custom themes. Check the theme pages. Or just switch to one of the distributed ones that are still available.

From there, I tried upgrading to 1.4.1.1. Once I unzipped, I ran /gallery/zp-core/setup.php and I'm getting an error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=', expecting ')' in [redacted]/gallery/zp-core/functions.php on line 513
I searched the forums, but count find this exact error - any ideas what's happening?
Thanks for any help,
-Matt
