i want to disable news links and entire news section on my website.
can someone tell me how to disable ?

1. Disable the Zenpage plugin (but then you will loose custom pages as well).
2. Modify the theme.

what is your theme ?

with zpardoise and i-feel-dirty (mine ;-), even if zenpage is allowed, if you have now news, there is no links and you can still add pages.
