I've been hacking on Zenphoto for quite some time now—it's been great. I recently completed this Zenphoto-based website for my friend that you might enjoy:
This is the first site that I've made using ZenPhoto as the CMS, and I was super impressed with it's versatility. Will definitely continue to use it. Thanks to the creators!
Here is my portfolio: http://afifsay.com Custom theme based on ZpArdoise also mobile theme customized over ZenPhone - it utilizes social plugins, FB, Google PlusOne, Twitter (and some work on making FB Like button to understand Galleriffic slideshows.)
http://Poteau.me A gallery of my community by members of the community. We have balloon fests and more in my home town. Pretty neat, check it out, let me know what you think.
Just converted my photography archive site from yappa-ng (too many php deprecated errors and a dead project) to zenphoto on my own server. So far so good. Check it out at http://timbrown.us/. I have about 56K images in 600+ albums.

Thanks for switching to Zenphoto but sadly the site is not valid for our showcase as noted at the beginning of this thread and on the showcase section.
If you wish to present your photographs there are other places.
Zp right now is best script out there but I wish there would be more development. Premium templates and extentions that people can buy. Lets make it great solution for all photographer that need to host own site and want custom functionality.
Thanks, I think considering being a quite small team we do quite a lot development.
Regarding premium templates and extensions. Anyone is free to offer those but someone must do. Especially a good theme is not made in a few hours. And in case you don't know there is paid support available if you need something specific.
And btw I personally prefer individually tailor made to specific needs websites actually instead of "just" using predefined themes. Just like yours bascially uses the zpArdoise theme. Which is therefore not valid for our showcase since the significant individual change is adding you own header. (Again, as stated the showcase is NOT about the content, this is not a photography or else showcase).
I am not a programmer, I have nothing (or almost) to do with web programming. I was looking over the net for a free simple but attractive web gallery to show my work and get comments. If I say that you did an excellent job with zenphoto, it will be not enough. So, here is my link with the basic zenphoto and a theme applied http://www.geodormedia.ro. Thank you
3601 images collected in 118 albums …10 years of photos!
Before I had a fragmented situation:
Static html/php galleries generated from iView and iPhoto (with BetterHtml export) [still alive: http://old.walter.bz/immagini ] A custom self-made gallery created with phpFlickr API (images on Flickr). [http://old.walter.bz/foto] A photoblog made with Pixelpost.
Now I merged all galleries in Zenphoto.
The hardest work was exporting and importing all database from Pixelpost. I maintained all titles, descriptions, tags, comments from Pixelpost. I created a custom desktop database in order to to this. With htaccess I redirected all Pixelpost permalinks to Zenphoto (I had a dedicated photoblog domain: http://www.differentsensations.com).
As basic template I used the beautiful zpminimal with a lot of custom mods, but let me say Zenphoto it's very easy to customize.
It was years that I was looking for a solution like Zenphoto. I evaluated and tried Gallery, Coppermine and others.

first let me say THANK YOU to all Zenphoto programmers and contributors.

Again THANK YOU!
Sadly your site uses a too little customized zpminimal theme and will therefore not enter the showcase gallery. Sorry.
