Random Images from Sub-directories - steve-r - 2016-10-17 Hi, I'm using the latest version of Zenphoto on a Debian server. Steve Random Images from Sub-directories - fretzl - 2016-10-17 I assume you are referring to the backend. Random Images from Sub-directories - steve-r - 2016-10-17 Hi, Steve Random Images from Sub-directories - fretzl - 2016-10-17 Hm...looks like you found a bug. Random Images from Sub-directories - steve-r - 2016-10-17 Interesting. Random Images from Sub-directories - acrylian - 2016-10-17 The "show subalbum thumbs" actually refers to the selector for manual selecting an album thumb. Generally the automatic function searches on purpose on the album itself first. Only if it does not find anything it returns an image from the further sub albums. If you have a lot of sublevels or albums this might have a performances cost otherwise. For performance reasons I also would generally recommend to set a fixed album thumb anyway. Unless you have precached everything. Otherwise Zenphoto will need to process the thumb anytime a new one is chosen wich can slow down expecially on bigger sites. Random Images from Sub-directories - fretzl - 2016-10-17 Yes, I can confirm that. We'll have to look into this. Random Images from Sub-directories - steve-r - 2016-10-17 Thanks for the explanation. Random Images from Sub-directories - acrylian - 2016-10-17 Again the selector with thumbs is for manual selection and has nothing to do with the random choice on page reload. The thumb selector will be replaced in the future anyway. We'll take a look a depth limiting for random choice but I cannot promise anything. Not really any priority for us right now. Random Images from Sub-directories - steve-r - 2016-10-18 Many thanks!! and keep up the fantastic work. |
