Register_user plugin issues,

whilst I don't profess to know everything about this, i've given it a darn good shot and got a site online, i'm having a problem with the register_user function & would prefer not to display my link just yet,

when linked to the "register" page the register form is shown as username, email and password & repeat, but no submit button?

Perhaps someone can shed some light on my dumbassery

First question is does the page work correctly on a distributed theme? Second question is have you looked at your PHP error logs?

Hey, thanks for the answer It seems the plugin is missing across all themes, activated but missing, I can't find the "register" page.. just "login" the register_user plugin is installed.

Just update your forum profile to included the link. Only the moderators can see that link.

But you did not mention if you looked for PHP errors.

Also be sure that you have enabled the register user plugin. What you describe would occur if it were not enabled.

Ok, I have looked. You are going to have to find your PHP error logs. (Secod question above, never answered.)

Your site stopped generating output at the "re-enter" input box, so some PHP error has faulted out your page generation. Without the error there is no way we can be of further help.

oh, and if I disblae the register_user plugin it just removed the "register link at the bottonm" the site functions just the same..

Sorry this all as errors caused by two third party themes: m9 and zpfocus. Those are not supported by us. For exactly this reason you should always state which theme you are using.

Please try a standard theme.

we have already established that the register_user plugin is not being crashed by this theme, as I switched between several themes and it remains broken,

that aside, the theme info page zpfocus states it support register_user, is there any way you can help me?

I just tried with the standard Zenpage theme and there is certainly a submit button.

Sorry, I am not familiar with zpfocus at all. If you made sure the plugin works with standard themes, it might be a bug in this theme. Try to contact its author, he reads here but also has his own support forum for his themes.

sorry to keep bringing this one up,

I have switched the themes multiple times for my site, and this plugin does not display on any of the 10+ themes I have, most of which came with zenphoto.

I really love this software so darn much, it's the best cms I could ask for, however the register user function is important

I think it may have worked before,

but in my error logs, I've got about 100 users that have "tried" to "login" with info that doesn't exist..

Thanks. As said it seems to work for me. All standard themes have a theme page "register.php" that is used and needed (Somewhere there must be the forum) for this plugin and can be set in the plugin's options.

I have tried on my live test install site (plain 1.4.3.1 install) on a standard shared host with the Zenpage standard theme. After clicking the register link I get the register form with everything that should be there.

So, what you should do is switch to a standard theme, clear out your error logs so that all these theme related errors are gone, and then re-load the register user page and see what error occurs.

Your page is getting errors at least from what I have looked at. Those errors need to be identified and corrected. If they are being caused by third party plugins or themes there is really nothing we can do to help. If they are Zenphoto errors then we need to see exactly the circumstances that cause them because, as we have said, we are not able to reproduce the situation on our installations.

my apologies if you're offended, we run a tasteful site obeying all laws and have extremely strict moderation, i'm migrating another site over to this one, exactly the same niche but has 120,000 uniques a day.

zp is definitely the lightweight system I need, but i'm going to try your advice sbillard
