Is there a way to display an archive page listing albums by date instead of month links of images?

For example:

`
2011

  • Album 1 (#)
  • Album 2 (#)
    2012
  • Album 3 (#)
    2013
  • Album 4 (#)
  • Album 5 (#)
  • Album 6 (#)
    `
where # is number of photos in album/subalbums.

Very much like printAllDates but instead of month links I'd like to have album links.

Thanks in advance.

There is a "half official" plugin: http://www.zenphoto.org/news/title_by_date_archive

A live demo of the custom function that plugin evolved from is here: http://www.trondheimkunsthall.com/page/archive?utstillingsblogg-arkiv

I had a look at that previously, but couldn't work out how to customise it to what I want.

  1. How do I make the listing sorted by date descending? The default is sorted ascending (2011, 2012, 2013) with only the year 2011 expanded.

  2. How do I omit showing subalbums from the archive list?

Also, when clicking year link to expand/collapse the archive list the whole page jumps to the top, which is a bit distracting.

  1. See the parameters. It is explained in the file comments
  2. Not possible as not implemented
  3. That might be a bug. Please open a ticket.

I found a workaround to hide album/subalbum from showing up in the archive list - leave the album/subalbum date empty

I also noticed that there's two sort type - by year and by day (please refer screenshot)

Is it possible to have sort options for year, month & day?

Possible is nearly everything. Again best open a ticket for this. But don't expect any work soon. I probaby won't get to anything before mid January at all.

It's ok, no hurry. I'll open a ticket for the feature request.

Have a happy Christmas & new year!
