Hello!

if I understand correctly, you guys are into Zenphoto CMS and that is
why Im asking you if you can help me. I need a theme just like this one http://www.maxsher.com/ set up on the domain that Ill register.
as far as I understand it`s a simple theme with a gallery extension
(or may be the gallery goes as a core CMS feature). how much would you
charge for that work? just setting up the template, not filling with
content or anything.

You can bet that on the Zenphoto forum we are into Zenphoto ;-) If you look around you will notice that the "gallery" is the primary core feature of Zenphoto.

You hopefully understand that this forum is only for free support. No negotiations here. If you wish paid support you can contact someone from the paid support page as applicable: http://www.zenphoto.org/pages/paid-support

It must of course not be someone from there. The designer of your example site has a link in the site's footer, too.

thanks for your reply! I already had contacted those guys from paid support list, but had no response yet, so decided to post here, sorry for choosing the wrong place. I guess, I`ll try contacting the guy that developed that site.

Since I am on that list as well and if you tried to contact me I can only say I didn't get anything.

But feel free to contact the site dev or re-send your may even if just to test why it didn't arrive.

I also wrote to the developer (email and skype) of that site, he would not reply either and I phoned him. he said hed answer me in a written form, but hasnt yet. that is how it goes so far.

I can't speak for the others but the mail adress listed for me does work for sure. I use it daily. So I can only assume that your mail has been catched in a spam filter or something.

that might be, because there was a link there. well, I`m still waiting for the guy I phoned to answer. may be you could answer my question: is photogallery on that site (maxsher.com) a core feature of the CMS? I mean, if I install Zenphoto, will I have that out of the box or is it a custom plugin or something? I know several CMSs, but have not worked with this one yet and am trying to figure out whether I can do it (set up a site like that one) by myself.

Zenphoto's primary feature is the gallery management. For all else like blog and normal pages an extension called "Zenpage" and a theme supporting it is required.

You can find info about all that right on our home page linked to detailed feature listings.

The site you reference is executing a very old version of the zenphoto software. So even if you get the theme from its owner it is unlikely to work with the current software.

That theme is similar to the zpMinimal theme which you can find in the "unsupported" repository on gitHub and can be viewed here testalbum-2.sbillard.org/zenphoto/

thanks, but I dont really see much incommon with that theme. see.. all I need is left column with menu and a gallery with albums just like on that site. I can see that it is using flowplayer, but not sure if it has to do with the way photo albums show up. may be its an extension, some kind of slideshow? when clicking on photo it shows next one (fading). that`s all I need basicly, and since not having much luck so far, ready to pay for help setting up theme like that one with a gallery showing up just like there.

The site you referenced is a custom one that uses some kind of JS for the single image. It might even indeed use the slideshow plugin. Flowplayer is a video player (and not included in current Zenphoto versions anymore at all) and surely not involved here.

well, I quess that "some kind of JS for the single image. It might even indeed use the slideshow plugin" is why I`m having trouble doing it by myself, nor the developer of that site wants to help me so far. I looked at this extension http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle2/demo/ but did not see needed transition effect there. know anyone else who could help me set up that stuff?

The fade effect is the base effect of Cylce2 actually (the site uses the older Cycle that has it as well): http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle2/demo/basic.php
It is probably not the slideshow plugin itself, just the script used. The site uses the precedessor Cycle v1 btw.

You could for example try again to mail me if you like.

You find mine via the paid support page actually. Written at the bottom on the linked page (you need to make it a valid mail address of course).

I have removed yours from the forum as you surely don't want some of our spam :-)
