The "default" theme does not exist anymore (since 1.4.6 - April 2014). It's called "basic" theme now.
If you upgraded to the latest version(1.4.12) check your themes.
You should have "basic", "effervescence_plus", "garland", "zenpage" and "zpmobile".

And didn't you say you updated? Then it should be Zenphoto 1.4.12.

That means you did not properly update the themes.
The error refers to a function that has been deprecated a few years ago.

Anyway, that error does not explain why the slideshow is not working.

Hi, I'm following this thread, as I'm having the same issue with both slideshow plugins, on 3 different browsers. I'm using the Libratus theme. There is nothing in my debug log, and I don't see anything that looks related in my server logs.

I tried checking all the script enable boxes in the slideshow plugin options, but that didn't change anything.

Hoping for a solution while I continue my own research...

There has been a small change to the slideshow scripts a few months ago that should fix your problems.
