I just upgraded and I am having issues with a pre-existing captcha setup on the zp contact form.
So I am trying to figure out a clean version of the most up to date supported captcha for the contact form ( if any exists)

reCaptcha is the current only official plugin and was added with Zenphoto 1.5. Older captchas are retired by Google.

That is the plugin you linked although the entry is not fully correct as it is actually an adaption of the reCaptcha v2 plugin https://www.zenphoto.org/news/zenphoto-nocaptcha-recaptcha/ with parts of the older official reCaptcha plugin.
