I followed all of the instructions and loaded all of the zenphoto files on a site that I administer.
I edited the zp-config.php file, no problem.

It was not possible to CHMOD on albums/ and cache/ directories, as there aren't any such folders! (I checked the original ZIP archive - none there, either...)

When I call setup.php, I just get a totally blank screen in the browser.

I'm pretty much out of ideas. Anyone? TIA for your help!

The original ZIP archive should have had those folders. Please download and try the current development release http://www.zenphoto.org/files/nightly/.

Thanks for your reply. Oddly enough, I just downloaded both the 3/07 Beta from the top page and the 10/16 nightly build from the link you sent me - neither archive contains the albums/ or cache/ folders!

I just downloaded the 10/17 nightly ZIP file. It certainly has those folders. The 10/16 ZIP also has them. Can't vouch for the TARs, thougn.

I think I've figured some of this out. Using my plain old registered copy of WinZip, viewing the archive and then selecting all files and extracting from the WinZip visual file display, the cache and album folders do NOT get extracted! However, right-clicking on the ZIP archive and extracting all files to a folder does apparently result in a proper extraction! Very strange. I'm going to do the install again and see if I can get zenphoto up and running.

Just finished with the new install - works perfectly! I dunno why the ZIP archive didn't extract properly from the WinZip control panel, but that was the problem. Zenphoto is GREAT!
