I was wondering if there is a way of hiding subalbums from view if they don't have access to the main album? For example I would like to have a album called "Private" and under is I would like to be able to have several albums "subalbum1, subalbum2" but I would like to hide them from view if you don't have access to the "private" folder. Is there a way of doing this?

Simply set a password to their main album and they will be protected, too.

I understand that I can password protect them also, but I would like them to be hidden unless the password is given to the main album. For example album "Main" is password protected and it has 2 subalbums called "sub1, sub2" that are also password protected. what I would like to be able to do is not have the 2 subalbums displaied unless the album "Main" has already had the password entered for it. This way anyone that don't have the password for the "main" album folder don't have any idea what other subalbums are even on the site. Is there a way of doing this?

I am not sure what was going wrong, but when I manualy created the folders on the server this part of it worked, but when I was trying to create them through the upload is when I ran into the problem. I am running 1.5.

I guess you mean 1.1.5, unless you are talking from the future to us...:-)

It really should make no difference how you create an album. Could it be that you were logged in? If so, you see them all. And browsers like Safari 3, in case you are Mac user, from time to time fail to log out correctly, you have to clear the cookies manually then.

Well it did turn out to be a browser problem. Once I created the folders and cleared the cookies it worked just fine. Thanks alot guys.
