I am trying to setup a gallery/site with zenpages, but I can't get it to enable and remain enabled.

I did a fresh install using the latest version 1.2.2/1.0.1 as of about 5 mins ago on my server (CentOS, PHP4/5 (1-2 versions behind current), MySQL 4.1) and everything works fine. I was able to go through the install with no problems, setup zenpages and run install just fine, even create and save a page just fine.

The problem is once I click on another tab or the plugin tab to activate other elements everything is disabled. I tried with the last version and now these version both times fresh install both times same results.

I'm at a loss here as this should work just fine. Heck I'm even open to giving developer access to the gallery I just want it to work.

Does the checkbox for the zenpage plugin get unchecked? Does this happen to any other plugins? The state of a plugin is stored in the Options table in your database.

The zenpage tab disappears all together and then when I go to check the plug in page I notice all the plug ins are unchecked. I haven't bothered checking the DB, but I will do so now.

I can enable the plug-in and you will see the tab, but if you browse to any other page the tab (zenpages) will vanish. I checked the DB and it appears it's just getting zeroed out (the option fields for plug-ins). I was/am able to enable items in the DB and use them just fine.

Thanks for the work around. The underlying problem appears to be the DB not getting updated when I save the plug-ins.

I can think of no good reason why pressing the save button would not save the settings of the plugins. Are you getting any CGI errors?

I don't get any visual errors and the system reports that the settings got saved correctly. The only thing that's slight off with the system configuration is that it uses phpsuexec so the max permission is 644/755 anything higher and I get 500 errors.

Do you have any problems saving any of the other admin back-end settings? This is all database stuff, so I don't see how file permissions would be involved.
