I assume this is already tracked somewhere. But just in case, there is a bug in custom thumbnail cropping feature in admin page where the image shown is bigger than the box and covering the buttons + preview. I had to hack around it for now with some CSS, but hopefully it's fixed soon

Oh, this seems to happen only on tall images, not wide. Hope that helps. Thanks for all the great work!

Have you tried the nightly/svn?

I've using the latest nightly build and I'm also having problems with thumbnails. the crop isn't working on some albums, only the default size/scale.

Could you be more complete: Doesn't work on all images in some albums? What do you mean by does not work? What exactly are the symptoms? all this seems working here.

For example, I have an album with a sub-album. I have the thumbnail default size/scale set to 300 for the album, and the crop set to 160x120. On the sub-album page, the thumbnails are cropped properly to 160x120, but on the album page, the thumbnails display at 300px wide, uncropped.

Sounds like a theme issue.
