since i installed explorer 8, when i open an album, some thumbnails are not displayed. a refresh is needed to have all of them displayed.

You can try the nightly build. I did notice a similar thing with IE8 having to do with timestamps of the images. There is a change in the nightly build of last night that corrects this and may also fix the problem you are seeing.
