I thought this was supposed to be easy!
1- Downloaded Zenphoto version 1.2.5
2- Unziped and uploaded files to my website root. It was my intention have a gallery at my website www.octanemovieproductions.com
3- Created a MySql database with the help of my host provider Powweb
4- The Powweb tech guy even helps me out and puts the proper information in the setup form.
But in the end he says he did everything right on his end and I need support from Zenphoto. My website has this:
Zenphoto Error
MySQL Error: The database is connected, but Zenphoto could not select the database <NAME OF MY DATABASE> .Make sure it already exists, create it if you need to.Also make sure the user you're trying to connect with has privileges to use this database.
I am not a developer. Can anyone help me?

Well, I am using POWWEB with no issues! I kind of doubt that the tech on the POWWEB end really "did everything right" 
So, go to your POWWEB Member Operations page. Then find the link for Manage MySQL under Scripting and Addons. Click on that link.
At that point you should see a list of databases. One of those (if there are more than one) is the one for Zenphoto and what you need to place in the database name field. If you click on that databas you will see a list of users on the right hand panel. One of those is the user ID that you need to supply to Zenphoto. It is the password for that user that you supply in the password field.
The last thing you need is the database server. It will take the form `<your powweb user id>`.powwebmysql.com. It goes in the database server field.
So, remove the zp-config.php file from your installation and re-run the setup.php program providing the above details.

LOL! You were so right!
I followed your directions and discovered the POWWEB tech put in the WRONG USER ID! Once I changed it, everything seems to work just fine.
