I have installed Zenphoto I am a newbee in this area. Can you please tell me how to install Zenpage?

Look on the plugins tab. Enable the plugin and select either zenpage-defalut or effervescence+ as your theme. See the theme options for more.

I've tried this myself to no avail. The Zenpage content does not load (I added a News item and a Page to test).

Here's what I did:

• Installed zenpage

• chose Effervescence+ theme

• added some albums and photos
  so far so good

• then enabled zenpage plugin

• added a news item and a page to test

the gallery still looks the same (i.e. no hint of zenpage content).

I saw you mention in an older post that you must also set the Gallery index page link in the them options to -gallery-

that I tried to do but when choosing that option from the dropdown and clicking Save the choice does not save.

using Zenphoto 1.2.7, Zenpage 1.2.7

any suggestions?

A little more specific on what I'm doing/expecting -

after enabling the zenpage plugin and doing the above I'm then going to the zenphoto index.php page (by using my root URL) and thought I'd see a side bar with the News, Pages, etc. links next to the thumbnails for my photo albums.

You need also to configure the Efferevescence+ them for Zenpage. In this case set the Gallery index page link option to "gallery"

Yes I did that but as I stated above it did not save...but...it did after I enabled the print_album_menu plugin (does that seem right? anyway it works). So now I see content when I go to the root index page with a link to News, Gallery and any pages I might have created.

Any way to get those links in the sidebar as they are but also on the Gallery pages?

The print_album_menu plugin has actually nothing to do with saving content for Zenpage pages or news. Did you also test the zenpage-default theme?
