No need to open two threads about nearly the same error. As written on our user guide pre caching is actually rarely necessary as it is done on the fly.

You might need to check your server error log and the file/folder permissions.

after the version 1.2.6 you have other zenphoto with the same caratteristic

the last zen on my server dont go

So, check your error logs. Zenphoto works for most people on most servers.

I do the pre cache immagini, update database ecc ecc

Probably you have to upload smaller images and less at one time as your server probably is not able to handle them. This especially counts for the precaching that as already said is not really necessary to do.

yes our images is ever resized for signed with name of author and for fasted the navigation...

I have never noticed the issues you apparently. I don't think we changed that much in the behaviour from 1.2.6..
You apparently did not get the point about precaching or did not read carefully what I posted. It is not necessary to precache. It will be slower on the first view but then images are also cached. Many hosts get overloaded if you precache them all beforehand...

Sorry, I don't know both hosts you mention. I have installed on pretty standard shared webhosting over here successfully (Germany).

You don't really need any special "Zenphoto hosting" and we clearly state that don't recommend to installations services some hosters provide for Zenphoto.

Just a proper setup shared host works as well. My hoster is a smaller one and German only so that won't really help you (as with most over here are naturally).

Well, you will have to try out yourself. As I said I don't know these.

Also, please note that we do not support installations done by "install scripts" as these usually screw up something. I would be very suspicious of a provider who does all these things for you unless he would also let you do them the "standard" way.

There is really no way to "optimize" a server for Zenphoto specifically. It is a pretty standard application.

Of course it is always best to match the capabilities of your service provider with your needs. Otherwise you will not be satisfied. If aruba is too slow for zenphot you have to either change providers or give up on zenphoto performing to your desires. There is really no third path.
