Well, better is actually if dir listing would be disabled on your server directly. I suggest to ask your host about that.

That Actually worked?! I am amazed! Should I report this as a bug?

(ps - I added "options -indexes" to .htaccess. Now public isn't able to see a dir-listing - thanks!)
