I installed it but it cant seem to get to my MySQL database, even though i have one set up. Is there something else i ought to be doing?

Well, that means that either the server is wrong, or the username/password is wrong, or something. Sure you've got all that correct?

Also if you're on dreamhost, you might want to search for it in the forums. They've got a weird database setup.

I just tried to install Zenphoto and got the same error. This is the index page too: http://oobe.weblogs.us/wp-content/gallery/index.php

All I did was unzip, read the install file, copy files onto the server, followed the setup.php file, refresh, and had this MySQL thing. And I don't even recall anything about what is the login or password.

Well you need a MySQL database access to use it; you can't just put anything in for the username and password.

I'd suggest remembering them or looking in your host's support to find out how to get them.
