hi

I want to use google_map plugin, displaying in a colorbox (option of the plugin).

But after few months of testing with different versions of zenphoto on different hosters, googlemap doesn't work with colorbox option :

with IE9 : the map is displayed, but any action is impossible : A clic on any object of the map (map selector, image selector) is hiding the map. I have to close and open the colorbox to see my previous action (choice of map, choice of image,...).

with FF6: The map is never displayed. I have a blank page and Firefox continues to load the page indefinitely.

Is it working for zenphoto users (can you give some url for exemple) ?

if users of the forum can attest, it might be interesting to understand why it does not work for me and maybe other users.

thanks !!

hi

in response of your latest comment in the ticket: http://www.zenphoto.org/trac/ticket/1873#comment:22

I don't think it is a probem of jquery compatibility.
I really think it is a matter of the generated code to load the colorbox.

I found some topic on the net :

2 working source codes to generate google map in colorbox :

other site :

I have posted a message on google group, and I hope some help : http://groups.google.com/group/colorbox/browse_thread/thread/e8a7b24e8e78aeaf

Of course other help are welcome.

First, I remind you that posts may be monitored. I presume that the spam filter was worried about the links you post, but who knows. Anyway, it is really up to you to have the patience to see if your post shows up later when moderated rather than clutter this forum with redundant posts.

Second, since there is a ticket on this, the response belongs there. So, two strikes on your WEB ediquette.

of course, sorry for multiple post due to bbPress...

see the tips in action here : http://avbo7291.o2switch.net/outils/tests_googlemap.php

I have tried to adapt googleMap.php with the tip 2.
I dont't know how to use the generated map by zenphoto, but a "home made" map is displayed : http://avbo7291.o2switch.net/zenphoto/neige/

now, I am sure this is a matter of the generated code to load the colorbox.

I can not investigate further (already a lot of time on the subject, and enough skill to finish the job).

zenphoto forum is not easy to use.
in my case, I have no message (message to moderate, for example)
sometimes there are real errors, sometimes nothing at all.

of course, there is a ticket, but I put my message on the forum and hope that others will help us solve the problem.
i think that messages on the tickets are too 'confidential' for the community

Normally you are not moderated, Vincent, but the Akismet filter may fire sometimes unneeded, maybe as sbillad suggested because of that many links which always "indicates" spam.

Actually I find this forum very easy to use... Missing messages I don't know as we apparently do not get caught by any filter. Well, we did not write the forum software or the Akismet filter. Our site sometimes still suffers from heavy traffic, so if you notice everything being slow be aware of these possible errors.

That may be but is inconventient for us to "fight" in two places. Better just post the link to the ticket. Anyone can join there as well.
