$_zp_gallery->getNumImages() returns the number of images of the whole gallery. Is there any option/workaround to exclude all protected images? Or (better) to make it relating to if s.o. has the rights to see the images in protected albums (e.g. if there are 8000 images in the whole gallery, 3000 of it in 'interna' show "Welcome - 8000 images" to users that are logged in and "Welcome - 5000 images" to users that are not)

That method has an option to exclude unpublished items. However there is no other refinement at the moment as far as I can see. and remember.

Excluding unpublished items does not exclude protected albums. I checked already.
