Please do take it up. If you have not already done so, subscribe to the translators group and read the Translating tutorial. When you have made some progress, contact us to get credentials to be able to update your language in the SVN.

Read it and I just can't get POEdit on the mac to work.. get error messages that it can't find anything in the scanned directory. I'll look into it abit more.

On Mac you need to create a Zenphoto folder within the Applications folder where Poedit resides as well. Otherwise it does not work somehow, no matter what path you set in the catalog.
I think that is noted on the translation tutorial as well.

Base path: /Applications/
Paths: <foldername of your Zenphoto folder>
